If you fail your annual assessment, you will be provided a free resit. You only get 1 free resit per exam purchased, so if you fail your first attempt then your second attempt is free. If you fail your second attempt then you will need to purchase another exam to get your third attempt. If you fail your third attempt then your fourth attempt is free and so on.

The MOT Juice system is completely automated, so if you do fail your 1st, 3rd, 5th (and so on) attempts, you’ll be automatically issued your free resit.

If you have taken your annual exam through your MOT Juice account, your resit will be available immediately in your account. You can read our help article on what to do after failing your assessment here.

If you have taken your annual exam through our website without having created an account, you’ll receive an email within a couple minutes of failing with your exam resit code and instructions on how to redeem it.
