The ability to pause the annual assessment no longer exists as the DVSA requested the removal of this ability back in 2019.

The annual assessment must be completed in a single session. If you do navigate away from the exam then your progress may be lost and you risk defaulting your score to a fail.

If you believe you may not be able to complete your assessment in a single session, it is advised to wait until you know for certain that you will be able to complete it undistracted.
