One or more of my equipment is showing as red. What does this mean?

Understanding why one or more of your MOT equipment may be showing as red.
If one or more items of equipment in your MOT Juice account are showing as red, this means the equipment is currently out of calibration or does not have a valid, up-to-date calibration record recorded in the system.
What does a red status indicate?
A red indicator highlights that:
  • The equipment’s calibration date has expired, or
  • A calibration record has not been uploaded to MOT Juice
This is a warning that the equipment may not meet MOT compliance requirements until the calibration is updated.
Why this matters
Keeping your equipment properly calibrated is essential for:
  • MOT compliance
  • Passing DVSA inspections
  • Ensuring accurate test results
If equipment is out of calibration, it could affect your ability to carry out MOT tests and may be flagged during a site visit.
How to fix it
To resolve a red status, you need to update the calibration record for that equipment:
  • Log in to your MOT Juice account
  • Go to Staff & Equipment > MOT Equipment
  • Select the equipment showing as red
  • Click the green 'Calibrate Now' button
  • Upload the calibration information and certificate/document
Once the calibration has been updated and saved, the status will update accordingly.
Helpful tip
Make sure you upload calibration documents as soon as your equipment is calibrated. This keeps your records accurate and helps avoid equipment showing as red.
