The annual MOT tester assessment has a pass mark of 80%. This represents a requirement to answer 24 of the 30 questions correct. A tester must achieve this (or higher) in order to gain a ‘pass’.

Anything lower than 80% will result in a fail and means the tester must resit the exam until they achieve a pass.
