Introduction
The Authorised Examiner Consultant role is an account level that was built into the MOT Testing Service system in June 2019 and allows an AE of a MOT business to give access to some of their data (test quality information, test logs, annual assessment certificates and site review outcomes) but without the ability to add, edit or remove any data.

This role helps MOT Juice assist you in learning which areas of your data should prompt action points, without the need for manual data analysis.

Check out the video below to learn how to easily appoint MOT Juice as your AEC.
Important: Only the AEDM (Authorised Examiner Designated Manager) of a business can appoint an AEC.
What does the AEC role allow MOT Juice to do?
Provides independent advice on MOT standards, assists with quality management, and helps ensure the station adheres to DVSA requirements.

By assigning MOT Juice as your AEC, you are providing us the ability to:
  • Download TQI data for all MOT testers within your business each month;
  • Analyse the data and highlight any potential risk/problem areas for each tester;
  • Encourage each tester to review their TQI variances with national averages;
  • Store comments each month for each tester so proof can be given to the VE that TQI is being reviewed regularly
What MOT Juice CANNOT do with an AEC role
As an Authorised Examiner Consultant for your business, MOT Juice does not have the power to:
  • Purchase additional MOT slots
  • Conduct any MOT tests
Why appoint MOT Juice as your AEC
Appointing an AEC for your MOT business demonstrates proactive compliance to DVSA regulations.

Using an AEC demonstrates to the DVSA that a business is actively managing its compliance, often seen as a way to maintain a "green" RAG (Red/Amber/Green) rating.

MOT Juice goes above and beyond simply analysing your MOT testing data. As your AEC, MOT Juice offers additional support services to help improve your compliance with DVSA regulations, and help prevent your business from falling into any traps that could lead to formal warnings and even suspension.
